Our Identity
The Identity Statement speaks to the nature of the church; what it is, who we are. As the Church, we are not a building or an organizing principle. The Church is the assembly of people marked by the cross of Christ. This is what makes the Church distinct from any other organization in the world. The importance of the Identity Statement is that what we do flows out of who we are. Therefore:
The Church is/We are:
A community of sinners
Forgiven and claimed by Christ
Gathered and equipped by the Holy Spirit
Sharing fully in the life, love, and work of God
