The goal is mutual learning, growing closer to Christ, and deepening faith. In Intergenerational Faith Formation, people of all ages make this journey together. The format is simple: sharing, scripture reading or devotions, and praying for one another. Come and share coffee, juice, and treats together, participate in a time of faith growth, and form intergenerational relationships. All are invited to take part in this new program!

During our outdoor fellowship time last Sunday morning we were able to strengthen our bond as a church family and enjoy some end-of-winter fun together. Snow conditions were near-perfect for Nordic kicksledding. We shoveled a little late-winter snow, enjoyed a bonfire, hot cocoa, and sugar cookies, and we met Mr Billy and the good folks from Nordic Horn Munch Bunch.
ELCA World Hunger donations totaled $306.00, for 14 fruit trees/bees and 4 piglets. And a big thank you goes out to talented Bruce Carlsted for turning a maple limb into maple lumber for us all to enjoy (the limb came from the maple tree that sat on the north picnic lawn for many, many years). If you have yet to pick up some of the maple lumber, stop by the church office soon. Individual projects are already underway - - a cribbage board, small wooden bucket, maple leaf cut out, cheese board, dala horse cut out. Be sure to share photos of your maple projects as well. |
Sunday, March 7, 2021: Third Sunday of Lent
The faith practice for week 3 is ENCOURAGE. We will turn a spotlight on Great Britain and the U.K. as we reflect on accompaniment and ELCA’s international companions. Three ways to reflect on accompaniment:
Ongoing Collections during Lent: Gently used or new faith-based children's books for our church library 1000 lb food shelf food drive continues. How do we meet the goal? If 40 households donate 5 lbs of food each week for 5 weeks during Lent, we will meet the 1000 lb goal. What is 5 lbs of food, and what food is needed? Week 1 - Canned fruits and vegetables Week 2 - Flour, whole grain pasta Week 3 - Sugar, rice Week 4 - Canned tuna, chicken, soups Week 5 - Peanut butter, vegetable oil How to join in: Set up a cardboard collection box at home and add 5 lbs of food to the box each week. Watch it grow. Pack up your box and drop it off to one of the delivery trucks at church on Palm Sunday. |
