Our Faith Practices

The faith practices of a congregation are the habits and practices which, through God’s activity, result in transformed and Spirit-strengthened lives

At First Evangelical Lutheran Church we are committed to the following Faith Practices:

  • Gathering in joyful, authentic, participatory Christian community
  • Cultivating habits of life through the disciplines of faith ~ Worship, Prayer, Study, Service, Giving, and Fellowship ~ that help us be faithful to the Gospel together.
  • Encouraging one another to live out the Fruit of the Spirit ~ Love, Joy, Peace, Patience, Kindness, Goodness, Faithfulness, Gentleness, Self-Control ~ transforming lives through godly relationships in our church, homes, schools, businesses, and community
  • Inviting others into the life of God who currently live apart from such faith by being a welcoming, supporting, and encouraging community
  • Putting faith into practice, continually finding ways to serve the needs of justice and mercy in our community
